Adapting To Change
Hey, how are ya?!
COVID-19 has definitely changed the way we all go about our lives. During these trying times, it is important to always maintain a positive mindset and be willing to adapt. Adapting To Change can be challenging, but necessary. I have written on this topic before, but I feel that it always deserves to be discussed – especially now.
Here are some of the ways how I have adapted:
- Writing My Story: Before COVID-19, I would work on my book in my favorite writing spot at an indoor food-court in Boston (don’t judge). However, COVID-19 put a halt to going there. I have created a new writing spot in my home and things are still moving forward. Thanks to KiCam Projects for bringing me on board, my book is coming to fruition.
- Exercising: Since I do not go into a gym, I have been working out in my garage. It is not the ideal environment, but it works. Now more than ever, maintaining my physical exercise regimen is important. I owe a special thank you to my personal trainer, Nick Normandin, who has been coming over twice a week to beat me up.
- Extra Time: COVID-19 has given some of us more free time at home. Instead of using my extra free time to binge-watch Netflix or play more videogames, I have been able to read more books. The latest few books that I have read are Educated by Tara Westover, Beautiful Scars: A Life Redefined by Kilee Brookbank & Lori Highlander, and Wonder by R.J. Palacio. If you know of any good books to read, please let me know!
Adapting To Change can be challenging, but necessary. Thes are only a few examples of how I have adapted. But I do know that I’m not alone and that we all have been forced to change some things in our normal routines. Please, let me know how you have adapted with the times!
