Failing Is Often Necessary
Hey, how are ya?!
The year 2020 has undoubtedly been difficult and filled with numerous challenges. However, this year has made us all stronger by forcing us to adapt to these challenges. I believe that the various struggles that we have had to encounter this year will help us all in the future. 2020 has been the year of failure, but failing is often necessary to grow.
A few months ago, I read an amazing article titled Constant Failure is The Key to Success. The article talks about all of the things that one should do when faced with failure. Most notably to me, the article emphasizes the importance of maintaining a strong mindset during times of failure.
Going off of this point, I am learning to love failing. Although failing feels awful when it’s happening, it provides me with a valuable opportunity to reflect on what went wrong. Then, I can focus on how to avoid failing again so that I can succeed.
Life throws challenges at us sometimes where failure is unavoidable. However, if we are mentally strong enough to overcome those unexpected times, we will prosper. 2020 has been the year of failure, but failing is often necessary to grow. I know it may be hard to see it that way right now, but all of the failures we have endured this year will pay off in the future.
To quote Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time (I know what I wrote), “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”
